Cornea Technology Australia Warranty

 

Purchasing a Cornea Technology product means having peace of mind that your investment is protected by Cornea Technology’s full Standard Warranty. This Standard Warranty applies to all purchases, in accordance with the terms and conditions specified below, and is in addition to regulatory warranties implied or imposed by government legislation.

 

General Warranty Terms and Conditions

 

Subject to the terms and conditions specified herein, Cornea Technology agrees to repair or replace at its own cost the Cornea Technology product and any Cornea Technology accessory supplied with it that does not perform to the manufacturer’s specifications. The warranty policy provides for the labour and replacement of parts necessary to maintain your product in good operating condition as specified in this policy.

 

Proof of purchase by way of receipt, invoice or order confirmation must be presented when seeking any warranty services.

 

Customers requesting warranty service must comply with Cornea Technology staff’s directions and instructions regarding investigating the problem and arranging replacement or repair.

 

Cornea Technology may at its discretion replace rather than repair the product or relevant part, in which case, the replaced product or relevant part becomes the property of Cornea Technology. Cornea Technology may replace the product or relevant part with new or refurbished parts as deemed appropriate. Where Cornea Technology replaces the product or a part of the product under warranty, the warranty period is not extended or restarted.

 

If the product is unable to be replaced or repaired, Cornea Technology will provide the customer with a store credit up to the amount of the original purchase price of the product, excluding the itemised delivery cost.

 

Where warranty service is approved for a Cornea Technology LCD TV or Blue-ray Player, the product will be transported to the appropriate repair centre by one of the following methods:

a)      Provided that the product is securely contained within its original packaging, Cornea Technology will arrange collection by an authorised courier during business hours (9.00 am – 5.00 pm Mon – Fri). Cornea Technology will cover this transport cost up to the delivery charge itemised in the original order.

b)      Cornea Technology may authorise the customer to transport the product directly to the repairer. When transporting the product directly to the repairer the customer will bear the risk of the product whilst in transit.

 

Where warranty service is approved for a Cornea Technology product other than a Blue-ray Player or LCD TV, the customer is required to send the product direct to Cornea Technology. Postage costs incurred will be reimbursed upon request, up to the delivery charge itemised on the original order. The customer will bear the risk of the product whilst in transit.

 

 

Cornea Technology reserves the right to choose which authorised repair centre will service the warranty.

 

Cornea Technology has sole discretion to determine whether or not any product is performing in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

 

If a product for which warranty is being sought is found to be in good working order, Cornea Technology may seek from the customer, reimbursement of costs incurred to investigate the issue.

 

Warranty may be transferred to a new owner as long as Cornea Technology is informed by email at support@corneatech.com.au

 

Cornea Technology Standard Warranty

Cornea Technology’s Standard Warranty is for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery of the product.

 

This warranty does not limit or impede any rights covered under regulatory warranties implied or imposed by government legislation.

 

General Exclusions and Limitations

To the full extent permitted by law but subject always to regulatory warranties implied or imposed by government legislation, Cornea Technology’s warranties, both Standard and Extended, will not apply in the following circumstances:

 

The product has not been operated, installed, used or maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and instructions.

 

The factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the product.

 

The product was damaged as a result of:

a)      alterations

b)      accident

c)      misuse

d)     abuse

e)      fire

f)       liquid spillage

g)      wrong adjustment of customer controls

h)      incorrect voltage use

i)        power surges and dips

j)        thunderstorm activity

k)      ‘acts of God’

l)        voltage supply problems

m)    tampering or unauthorised repairs by any persons

n)      use of defective or incompatible accessories or parts

o)      the operation of any kind of computer virus

p)      exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions

q)      entry by any insect, vermin or foreign object in the product.

r)       dust and dirt

The product is damaged during transportation, installation or while being moved.

Transportation costs of the product or any parts thereof to and from the owner, unless otherwise specified in these warranty conditions.

Any third party software or hardware, which is not contained in the product as originally configured by the manufacturer.

Defective pixels (i.e.: dead or stuck pixels) that occur for LCD TVs and Digital Photo Frames, except as determined by Cornea Technology to denote an LCD panel fault.

The claimed failure does not represent a failure of the product to perform in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

Replacement or repair of any consumables, including batteries, projector lamps and cables, or lost parts and accessories.

Service and support of any software operating system or application installed on any Cornea Technology product, except to assist in restoring the product to its factory default settings.

The product is outside Australia.

Any loss, damage or alterations to third party hardware, software, programs or data stored on any media or any part of the product, regardless of how the damage or loss occurred.

Any loss or damage arising from loss of use, loss of profits or revenue, or for any resulting indirect or consequential loss or damage.

The limit of Cornea Technology’s liability in respect of all warranty claims, both Standard and Extended is the original purchase price of the product or, at Cornea Technology’s discretion, replacement of the product.

Cornea Technology excludes all other warranties, terms, conditions, representations and undertakings whether express or implied.

Special Conditions relating to Plasma TVs, LCD TVs, LCD Panels, Projection Television and Project Equipment

All LCD and Plasma panels display some bright, dark or partially lit pixels. This is a normal occurrence with these items and is due largely to the manufacturing processes and technologies involved. Such limitations are not usually noticeable on normal viewing and are generally not a warranty issue unless the level of defective pixels exceeds the manufacturer’s specifications. Where there are no such manufacturer’s specifications, Cornea Technology Warranties will cover the screen when 12 or more pixels fail.

 

Image retention or ‘burn-in’ can be a problem for all phosphor-based displays with permanent phosphor burn occurring if still images are left on the screen for too long. Cornea Technology warranties do not cover this type of damage. It is therefore imperative that all manufacturer’s precautions and instructions included with the product are followed to avoid permanent display damage.

 

If the product was not installed by a professional installer, is mounted higher than 1.2m from the lowest mount point, or where aftermarket mounts and/or stands are used, an additional service charge will apply to unfix and refix the product.

 

Cornea Technology warranties do not extend to damage due to interference from other products and/or sources.

 

Alterations to Cornea Technology Warranty Terms and Conditions

Cornea Technology reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions of both the Standard Warranty and Extended Warranty at any time and without notice.
